100% is with the dpt mk2 its balanced and swings a beauty

A good mate of mine bought Cartmans one off here and another mate who got his licence a few years ago got one after picking my brains about what to get.

Both are very accurate rifles that plain shoot and both owners love em.

The only fault they both found was the 3 shot mag as they'd have like a 5 shot but that's a preference.

I've shot both. Both are suppressed and their absolute puppies which have nice triggers.

can order the fixed floorplate from overseas, ask them to ring the importer about ordering the floorplate kit. But yeah its just a personal preference

GC have the Bergara ridge so basically the same gun just longer barrel and floorplate and not cerakoted

I take it this would fit, though I wonder how far it would hang down. I suppose it would be similar to a Tikka 5 shot mag.

Looks like the new fluted ones that are about to come to market are bringing back the 6.5 Creedmoor as well as the 308 but they are both 18", the Creedmoor used to be 22". 18" is short for a factory Creedmoor, I thought they might do a 7mm08 this time but doesn't look like it.

Probably will when they get more recognition, noticed it has a fluted bolt aswell but i would say and meh 18" is fine it fits a spot. There's plenty of synthetic stocked models with 22" barrels available

Yeah man I like a 18" 308. I did see they did some with just a fluted bolt but they have gone the whole way now with the barrel as well, looks pretty sweet see this vid:

I've got a B14 Hunter Extreme which I bought just after it was released in NZ and I rate them highly as a rifle. The B14 Extreme fit my purpose very nicely as it was stainless steel with a lightweight, short barrel and a Cerakote finish, which made it ideal for tough scrub and nasty weather. It was my go to deer rifle for about a year or so, but it's been put aside as ammo is hard to find and I only have Fallow Deer & pigs on my property, so there's better caliber options right now. One day I hope to go down south and hunt Tahr/chamois or even Wapiti with this rifle. As a rifle do I rate them as highly as a Tikka? Yes in some areas and no in others. A Bergara is basically a European made Rem700 with refinements and innovations over the original (bolt release on the bolt itself/better trigger/improved finish and workmanship) that does make it very Tikka like. However, that said IMO they fall short in the quality department compared to the Tikka which is a slightly better gun (slicker action/better bolt handle and aftermarket options from Sterk/better workmanship and a 5 shot guarantee which the Bergara doesn't have), however Tikka don't have anywhere near the variety of chassis and mods that the Rem 700 platform does. For that reason alone I've left the Tikkas behind and invested in Bergara and fitted them all with aftermarket chassis, 2 triggers, bolts etc. So if you're happy with stock firearms that are ready to go out of the box then go a Tikka. If you love to modify and change things like I do then go a Bergara and make the most of the many mods available to the Rem 700 family. Overall they're a great gun if a little rough compared to the Tikka. That said they've released an updated version of this gun with barrel and knob fluting in America where it was previously unavailable. Hopefully we'll get them here soon and see if they've surpassed the Tikka.

I have the .308 B14 with the wooden stock and iron sights. Very accurate rifle with a great trigger.
Absolutely no complaints about the quality and accuracy of the rifle. It will shoot under one MOA all day if I do my part.
Only small issue with the wooden stock is it is a little bit on th heavier side but the synthetic stocks are lighter.

As others have said they a Rem 700 with all the issues sorted out. I would have no problem buying another.

You can add all the 700 accessories if you wanted but they are perfectly fine out of the box to go shooting with.

I have both a T3x (altougth non std one) and Extreme Hunter in 308. Its horses for courses.
T3x is lighter (it also has more plastic on it). One is cerekoted from factory and one is not.

One is a M700 with all the issues fixed and a multitude of M700 gofaster bits will just bolt on the other is nothing like one.

My extreme hunter has never been fired as I brought it to rob for the action and then the T3x came along ready to shoot lehighs etc with no needing barrels changed or gunsmithing.

ALL the Extreme hunters I have seen/shot have been accurate

I am as well. The package deal with DPT and VX Freedom that was being offered around the place last year is very good value for money. However 308 is out of stock in all the shops I've tried. Been told that the importer is bringing more in but could take up to 3 months...
