Good job I’m in the uk the, it will take me that long to stick on my ticket
Has anyone handled the premier model or seen this up against the extreme hunter?

Is it worth the extra coin?
    Cheers

I'm a big fan of my 308. extreme hunter, this thing shot great out of the box and has had tighter groups as of late. Taken well to 150gr Remington Corelokts.

Going from a model 7 that rusts in your hands, the cerakote finish is a nice upgrade.

Him I’m 3/4 of the way sold.
Think I’ll go the full fluted bolt and barrel.

I understand that another shipment has landed, so there should be some available in .308 around the country. I saw one at H&F Tower Junction in Chch last week.

@Jt89 The new ones that come with the fluted bolt and barrel have a 3shot removable magazine.
I have just set one of these up and run it in shooting 100, 200, 300. So far I really like it and it shot well straight out of the box. I’m looking at getting a some load development done and then will stretch its legs and hopefully get some animals on the deck asap.Name: 4EE178E2-FABF-4A69-92A8-DD2678BD740E.jpeg

They're releasing the new version (Viper Urban & Viper Western) with the fluted barrel/bolt and a new camo pattern stock. I've pre ordered mine in 308 as they're only brining in 6.5 CM unless by request.

I got the Premier mountain 2.0 its a different action and bolt better trigger carbon stock etc.
I haven't shot it yet it is off getting circumcised to around 16" to have a muffler fitted.

Is it worth the extra coin? I guess that is a question only you can answer for you but I guess for me it was but I like to be different and can be quite impulsive so take from that what you will.

@veitnamcam I would be keen to hear what you think of it - I am pondering on one of these but haven't ever seen one to have a fondle. I already have an Extreme Hunter which is pretty nice for what it costs.

I'm home again now so might be able to check out it's balance etc now but I think I had a bit of a wait for rings so shooting it might be next time home.
