Hi I recently brought one and really like it but have found can be a bit hard to break open sometimes, is this normal? And anything that can be done to make it more smoother to open? Cheers

Is it harder to open when loaded or fired compared to opening with an empty chamber

Mine does the same thing - the lever/trigger guard is hard to open. It doesn't do it if I close the action with the lever pulled back.
I think @matto1234 might have had the same issue fixed by a local gunsmith?

Sit in front of the tv and open and shut it for half an hour while your watching Shortland st

Should smooth a few sliding surfaces as required

I had mine ceracoated and it was a botch job. Everything got coated, had to wet dry sand it off in a lot of places to get it to function. It bubbled up with rust underneath not long after

Mine would bind up sometimes, had to send it back to the shop, pretty sure they just lapped it around the mating surfaces. Break it down and colour the marring surfaces with a sharpie, then break it open will show you where its binding up/rubbing

Geezus- I Durakoted my one twice -it's not that hard to mask the hinge areas off
