    Bergara gets in to bondage!

Needed the final accessory for my little project rifle, a Bergara BA13 in 300BLK. Being a single shot, I wanted additional rounds to hand, but didn't like the look of any of the round holders available in NZ. Our friends in China didn't have anything suitable for the calibre as far as I could see. I came across WildWildDill on Etsy who make custom or semi-custom products of this type. I had no experience of the company or Etsy, but ordered a leather butt stock round holder.

Delivery took a long time, but that is understandable at present. Ordered 28 Nov 2000, delivered 23 Jan 2021. Unfortunately, the round holder didn't fit the stock nicely because of the moulded cheek riser. This was remedied by removing the anti-slide loop. With the straps done up tightly, it didn't move anyway and fitted well, so I'm a happy customer. Incidentally, I replaced the bootlace supplied with something thinner to get tighter, smaller knots.

It does raise the comb slightly, but that wasn't why I bought it. They have other versions with a more pronounced cheek riser.

I ordered the .223 version for my 300BLK rifle and it fits the rounds nicely for obvious reasons.

It's a very well made product that should last a long time.

    Around $100 delivered.

Yeah, good spot. Been waiting a long time! Sorry, late night drunken post

Actually Bill, your posts inspired me to go down the 300BLK route. So far it's killed a wallaby and a turkey. It's certainly not devastating, but it'll be interesting to see what it does on goats. I'm using purposed-designed subsonic hunting rounds, but if results aren't good, I'll switch to supers. It's quiet enough with the subs now that I have 6 baffles on my DPT suppressor. Hope I don't regret not going down the 45/70 route!

I went away from the larger subs after getting a 300blk, too loud even with double baffles
all subs are like shooting an elephant with a 303
so just aim to break something that means it either dies instantly or cant run away

yea I get carried away with my DPTs Im using mine as a counter weight to steady me for standing shots

I get what you are saying on turkeys, 300blk and 44special subs both are about as effective as a 22subsoinc. Put that same bullet in a pigs cranium and you will no doubt be impressed.

knowing your trajectory and the distance to target is super important with subbies, but from a rough estimate I think that all subs out to about 70m seem to fly in the same arc whether they be 22 or 44s when sited for 30m.
