Hi guys!
I´m reaching out to gather information on the Bergara BA 13 TD.
The idea was to get a pack down rifle for the hills. I´m considering a 20 inch barel in 308.
Has anybody here the exact configuration and can tell me which pills are best suited? 150 grainers?
Would shoot out to a max of 300 meters roughly!

They're a 1:12 twist so they will stabilise everything up to around 180 grains.
I used 168gr NBT's in mine. Shouldn't have sold it...
I too sold mine but it was also very accurate with 168 ELD-M's.
I enjoy shooting mine slightly on the heavy side, I use 150 grain SSTs in mine, real tack driver.
Mine's got a DPT suppressor. A bit heavy overall but well balanced and points nicely. Shoots Sako Game Heads 150 grn, homeloads; 150 Speer HC, 150 Nos BT's and Hornady 150 RN in front of 2206H. Factory and homeloads well under MOA. My max range is 300 yrds, that's with the ganehead. 3 inches up on scope adjustment and I know I'm on. Got a couple of Jap with it last month. Rate rifle very highly. My go to now.
I had the 8 twist 16" version. Was very accurate but dont shoot them off a bipod as it presses on the barrel and messes the groups up. Mine did 3moa off bipod and sub 1moa off a pack

I just picked up a Rossi version and the person who it came from has replaced it with the Begarra. The Rossi is much, much lighter but don't think they make it in 308 anymore.
i will say for a single shot you dont really save any wieght with them over a bolt gun, but they are obviously more compact with the same barrel length seeing theres no "action" and they still feel nimble and easy to carry

I have one of those Bergara's with the 20 inch 12 twist barrel that I bought as a packable rifle. It shoots well with 150 grain spire points so would be fine out to 300 metres with the right load. The throat is quite short at 72.6mm crush with the spire points so should handle most projectiles and 150 or 165 grains should be ideal. Mine has a 1.5 to 5 power variable which to me is just about ideal. Break open rifles can give problems with tight cases so full length sizing is advisable. I am using a light load of 41 grains of AR2206H which should give around 2,500 fps or a little more, 44 grains should produce around 2,650 fps with the 150 grain.

Unless you're hell bent on actually taking the rifle down I'd look elsewhere they're heavy little suckered and you could easier pick from a plethora of magazine fed firearms that would carry a lot nicer
I have one in 308 , was a 20 inch version but chopped to 18 inchs. Suppressed.
150gr Federal blue box , tack driver.
They break down and re-assemble in seconds without the need for any tools.
They carry and point well , they have a solid feel to them but I wouldn't call them heavy. I think because they look so compact people expect them to be really light . They are just an average hunting rifle weight .
I have the 16" version.
Including the suppressor it's a similar weight to my Brno bolt actions, and a bit heavier than my Model 94 Trapper.

Did anybody of you have problems with the original picatinny rail?
Some say its of imperior quality and does lead to inaccuracy problems because
its made of cast cink instead od steel?
The only issue I had was that the rail mounting screws were loose, I have talked to others who have encountered the same issue. Always check your mounts.
I loctited my rail screws, as others had reported that worked loose over time.
