Question Bergara scout scope single shot mounting options ????

Hi guys as some of you may know I recently re acquired my Bergara scout 308win.
the Bergara scout comes factory with a piccatinny rail that seems excessive and unnecessary also even though I have even though I have loctited it on I know they have a habit of working their way loose.
Is there a scope mount base option like a Talleys or similar that will work with the Bergara receiver ?
if not I guess I will persist with the rail
    thanks

There's no reason it should "work loose" if it's a close fit, loctited and torqued on...
it is now, these little Bergara's are hefty for their size was hoping to shave a little off with some quality light weight alloy rings / also there just isn't a need for a Piccatinny rail on it as it will unlikely ever be shot past 300 yards so doesn't need the extra elevation

The old ones came with a dnz one peice scope mount, see if you can track one of those down.

I had to epoxy bed mine to get it to stick. Screw would work loose even with loctite

Never had a problem with the rails I have used. I have a 20moa rail on my WSM and it hasn't shown signs of coming loose. Had them on other rifles and never an issue. I prefer rails over the ring/base combo. No alignment issues with a single rail and rings.

Yeah for whatever reason the Bergara single shot rails are notorious for working themselves loose

They're sold in the US as the CVA Scout. Google throws up a few results - the DNZ ones that @Nick-D mentioned are still available.

The picatinny rail doesn't give any extra elevation. It's not a 20moa rail. Mine was the same but I epoxied it down and its been sweet. I think the point is so people can run quick release rings

    I agree
You can run a quick release conventional scope
    A thermal
And an aimpoint on the same rail

I had a Warne solid one piece base on mine, never had any issues with anything coming loose, shot a couple hundred deer with that rifle without any problems.

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
