the one I got with my 10/22 years ago had 3 sliding chambers and a spring in it. I don't recall it being that expansive compared to others but there wasn't the variety around like back then. I was pretty happy with how quiet it was especially compared to my original slip on one.
Don't have it at the moment to compare to my self built jobbies but if its the same as them then it was good.
Does anyone know who made that model? Maybe Gun city?

That was one of mine. I made thousands of them from the 1970's until I retired in2012. I made two distinct models, the first having a rolled groove in the 7/8" tube to support the machined baffle chambers. They were marketed direct from me (WCG, Woods Custom Guns) and also by Winchester. The second model had three rolled baffles and a spring in a 28mm tube, sold direct from me and also Gun City. The first model was equal to the Parker Hale suppressor, but the second model was even better and was the quietest .22 muzzle can you could get. Firing in an open area gave nothing but the sound of the firing pin.
Gibo, timattalon and csmiffy like this.

@gundoc just the straight tube. Done well with the rolling as I'd have guessed they were machined although that would've been a waste of material. Spring at the fore-end to take the shock up like a shock absorber.
If I was a bit lax at cleaning I sometimes had to, in a controlled manner of course, fire a round though it partially disassembled to get the last chamber out. It was an alloy jobbie and I was worried about garking the crap out of it and the tube.
As posted very happy with it and it would be nice to compare to my recently built ones. a bit longer as mine were mid over barrel ones, but a lot lighter as mine were all steel not alloy like the other one.
If I'd built a spare one id sent it to phillipo free as. Only cost him a beer next time he's down with ryan 270.
Ill have to have a count up-there might be one but as said a little heavy

Think I have one of your second model on my Marlin semi.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Rod is this you? Hope you are well. This man needs no introduction. Best in the business especially when he has free rein to tell his stuff in High places. LOL.

The useless huas in suits who need help from the worlds best expert.

    Q. Do you challenge what Mr Woods has said about the discharge of the firearm.

    A. [Crown expert] Aah no. I did not consider that. Mr Woods conclusions are certainly valid.
