I have run two systems to good effect.
One is a "45degree canted mount weaver rail" which should fit under most scope set ups and holds the torch low and off to the side. Readily available on aliexpress now.
The other is the old-timey halogen spotties, which had a dove-tail on them and so could be mounted to your scope with an inverted scope ring. Good for shooting off a quad, or a ute that had a 12volt socket at the back deck, pretty hopeless for shooting out the cab, or walkups or peddly missions
The lights were 6 or 8" around, doesn't make for easy handling.
