Thread: Best semi

Go the Marlin. I shoot with mudgripz on regular basis and helped convert him to the Marlin semi after him being a bolt action shooter for many years, thought he still takes his bolt action sometimes. He did a big test about a year and a half ago for a magazine article and the Marlin 60 beat most 22lr's up to about the $1500 mark. The 60 was followed closely by the 795. Someone on another forum complained that it was not fair comparing the semis with the bolt actions (a 10/22 owner) for accuracy not knowing that the 60/795 was a semi. The Marlin 60 series outsells the Ruger 10/22 worldwide 3:2. I own the 795 he used in the test.
