Or the 795 if you want to suppress it or have a drop out mag. Similar accuracy to the Thompson Centre R55 by the sounds of it, mine is around 0.5" at 50m (not with me operating it, but a target shooter) and I've seen a few better. Comes with the usual American anti-law-suit trigger, but they are easy enough to fix with a floppy shutter spring and a grub screw. The Marlin outsells the Ruger world wide by 3:2. Mags are easy enough to get but more expensive and not as easy as the Ruger. Takes apart similar to the Ruger and has last shot hold open. Not so much bling available, but it doesn't need a lot to make it shoot, Boyd's make stocks.

Hey Mate I need to know what you did to sort your trigger. I just put up with it but my son hates it. I was going to respring and use bedding compound to shorten up some tolerences. Keen to hear how you sorted yours.

It is friggin accurate with the factory trigger, lookng forward to see what it can do with an improved one.
