    Bit of weight will help keep them steady when glassing, lots of weight will mean you leave them behind rather than take them.

    Don't know anything about the 2 bins listed, I own a pair of Alpens that I like and did not cost an arm and a leg, 400 from memory.

    If you are hunting open tops or Alpine a lot then spend a lot as you will use them heaps.
