You will never ever regret owning a pair of Leica Ultravids for $800-900. I use mine all the time mainly because they are sooooo good and compact I tend to take them with me or I leave them in the car so handy. I take them on every holiday. When I'm on the tops I take my Leupold 10 power Gold Rings ... I wish I had spent a little (actually a lot) more and bought Geovids. Your eyes never get tired looking through their glass. I understand that Swarovski have a different gas in their lenses and they get a pink tinge particularly in alpine conditions.
To answer your question - 1st bino's = Leica Ultravids (for life)
