    Bipod options

Any advice out there regarding bipod options other then the harris style.
Ideally would love an atlas or javelin but a bit pricey.
    Any experience with magpul?
Also what are peoples preferred method of mounting. Not a huge fan of the harris style clip that grabs the along swivel.

I like Harris bipods, they are relatively light weight and very quick and easy to remove/install, as well as relatively cheap compared to the other options.
If you are not wanting to modify your stock, the Harris is by far the best option.

Picatinny rail mounting will give you the most bipod options, and allow you to buy something else in the future.

It's a shame magpul don't have a QD picatinny mount option available yet, their bipod looks ok otherwise. I like my Atlas which isn't much help to you, been using it for about 8-9 years now and still don't really feel like I need to change (except maybe to a Neopod to save weight)

Tier one is very well built, but out of your price range.

Nothing wrong with a harris really. Just like the Chielean look of some of the other options. No exposed springs etc.
    Have a few harris pods.
Was also wanting a less fiddley way of connecting

Anyone any experience with either the accutech bipod or the Caldwell accumax carbon bipod
Look like good options at the moment?

I have an Atlas and love it well worth the extra coin.
Have a look at the copy on trademe may be worth a try.

You can happily buy a fake atlas bipod off Trademe using ping, and if you don't like the bipod, you are fully in your rights to return it. It's against Trademe's terms to sell these, and using ping, you are entitled to return it for a full refund.
    Sellers problem then.

The copies aren't as good as the legit Atlas. The ones I've seen have be pretty crap.

What about the ones Ken sells.

Some of the other ones are getting up near a Harris.
