As with Dreamer and Lucky regarding recoil
My 6.5x65R is even faster than the 6.5x55
It's not the amount of recoil but the recoil velocity that gives people a surprise
No problems at all in the field
Personally I would say 7mm Blaser would be a step too far for me

And I shoot big bores all the time
500 BPE
50 muzzleloader heavy conicals and heavy charge
.72 musket
All much heavier recoil but slow
