You mean once you try beer you'll never want to drink Waikato again? Sounds about right.

And yes, they are that good.

I have gun ADD and I have never thought once of selling it. And it would be fair to say I have owned a good number of nice rifles.

Dunno what your plans for the weekend are, but Stager Sports were at the last Sika Show, maybe they'll be there this one as well. Ring them and ask..... They (Stager )don't have many fans, but at least you could have a play with one.
I intend to if they're there....

I am hoping to slip down on Sunday with that in mind, but my son has given me his germs so not sure what mood I will be in to travel
And he did the same thing to me about the same time last year too

I was convinced enough about the blaser platform that I sold every single firearm I own & have put together my idea of the ultimate R93. Shit I needed to sell everything just to pay for it! Look for a love or hate report in the near future.

R93 is a little lighter and slimmer, has 3rd internal mag, is a legacy model and might be discontinued soon (no evidence for this, just a feeling since it's been superseded by the R8)

R8 has a 4rd removable mag that also drops the trigger with it, little heavier (stock + action ~100gms heavier than R93?) and fatter, has a larger action for safari cartridges, and the action has been redesigned a bit with different bearing angles on the collet lugs etc, and a slightly differently shaped stock (schnabel forend tip vs not)

I've hunted with both r93 @ r8. I loved the convenience of removable magazine of the r8- it's great when varmint or goat bomb ups. I hated the heft - the r93 is quite a lot lighter & trimmer. If you put the r8 on a diet them you would have a very practical all rounder.
