Who's going to buy mine? I only have one scope so something has to go
Why have these gone from the best thing since sliced bread to for sale in no time?
Sort of reminds me of March scopes actually.
So who can tell me the difference between the R93 and R8, please?
Not sure but it appears @gimp is a pussy and is scared of a pound of butter and @BRADS is only selling to buy another blaser.
I know @shift14 loves his which is why he has started emptying his house of sakos.
When I get mine cam I'll let you have a play on it. I figure I need to have a taste of all flavors
R93 lighter, R8 stronger action can handle mag calibres heavy and the trigger comes out with the mag, so if you forget the mag you also forget the trigger.
And what about LR?
You mean like how people forget the bolt sometimes?
who even ever takes their mag or bolt out? weirdos
I must admit that i have currently "misplaced" a tikka magazine :ORLY:
I don't think you could forget a great deal if you had the nice box also, just as likely to forget the scope or barrel. I think what would be worse is taking the wrong barrel and the wrong ammo.
Ask brads?
I always leave packing shit to the last minute but have still never forgot any shooting related parts.
So why all these R8s for sale so soon after the owners were singing their praises? Is it just the owners following fashion without thinking about what they actually need want? As I said It reminds me of the march scopes everyone had to have and defended against any criticism but then sold and then a year or so later slowly admitted they were crap.
And back to this question, Can you change the Scopes between the barrels with out losing zero? I'm thinking that might be asking a bit much of it but never know unless you ask. I spose if you know your POI between the different barrels you could just dial the difference when you change them?
You will never see my blaser for sale, ever.
Brads and gimp are the only people I know selling.
Brads has bought another blaser that suits his needs better.
Gimp is apparently just a sook and has bad taste anyway😆
So where are all these other R8s for sale?

I'm a big girl's blouse that never goes outside anyway
As good as the design may be from a repeatability point of view that would be a utter fluke if zero on two different barrels was the same on one scope.... extreamly unlikely.
Which is why I asked as to the point of the quick release scopes attached to barrels, I guess has a use if you use and carry two scopes for one hunt with one barrel as R93 does but I would rather just use one decent scope.
If the scope was mounted to an action as many other switch barrels are then quick release scopes make perfect sense as you need to replace the scope for the zero of each barrel or have the poi shift written down or use a scope like on the Sako quad with separate zeros built into the scope for each barrel.
LRs? one, didnt Abe sell one too?
Just seems odd to me to drop 10? grand on something to buy another the same? a few months later
Lr brought a new blaser didn't he?
I guess there's nothing stopping you from using same scope across barrels if you know what to set dials at for zero on different cals. Same idea as with the larue mounts.
Handy if you travel a lot or go through nasty areas you don't want to fuck your gear in?
Isn't BRADS the one that paid like $amillion for a fucked-with remington 700 that exploded and killed him or something? He changes expensive rifles every 2 weeks
Didn't know LR had one and Abe still has a couple blasers as of last night's discussion with him about parts.
Each to their own. Brads most probably has a good reason for changing.
I personally would not buy an R8 unless it was to be a platform for a static F class rifle.
Blaser will lighten them up eventually.
My only issue with them.

Canadian trampers, I tell ya.
I must be the exception to the rule cos I have an R8 and 2 March scopes and I really love them. Admittedly they are the newer 52mm obj versions of the March and not the 42mm obj ones which, to be honest, were terrible.
Had my R8 for over 5 years now I think.
E: The glass is still less than amazing on the new March scopes.
I think blasers are a great idea and if they had a lighter weight
Carbon stocked version then I would have one no questions asked,
But until then I will keep my LRM. I don't see any issue with changing
Guns :ORLY: it's all about what you want or think you need
At the time ae @BRADS
So can anybody tell me what it is that makes it so much better with whatever brads and LR are replacing their R8s with?
