    Blaser R93 Stock help

Can someone share a pic of what the barrel channel looks like on your R93 Professional stock (with the barrel removed)?

Mine seems to be missing the front tip mount sling stud, and I’m wondering if all the fill in the forend was added by a previous owner (and has plugged up the front hole where the sling stud would normally be mounted). I have a sling stud mounted underneath, but not in the tip of the forend.

Looking to put one of the spartan gunsmith adaptors in, but that fill in the forend is making me nervous as it appears to have a metal strip running up the centreline.

Mine was just an open void with webs moulded in. The sling stud was accessible and had a nut/washer on the back side. The filler in yours, along with the steel strip, have definitely been added by a previous owner. The stock on my R93 was pretty flexible and touching the barrel on one side, I sent it back and got another, which was marginally better.

Thanks MSL - suspected as much.

Anyone got a lead on a carbon stock (STUG) for a r93?

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

I never made very many of the R93, probably less than 10.

Doesn’t sound like very good odds of me finding one then.

What is the next alternative? Few options out of Europe, but not sure I have enough kidneys or the patience to sort out the importing.

Like the look of the carbonomix new hunttech version for the R8, have emailed them to ask if they will do that version for the R93.

What's the problem? You would make the appropriate sized hole with an end-mill bit and then epoxy glue in the adaptor.

Yeah, that’s the initial plan. Waiting on response from local engineering workshop for access to mill.

Longer term plan…I’m getting old, lazy and weak, a lighter weight stock is appealing.
