    Blaser Saddle Mount

    Never had a Blaser before , picked up rifle and saddle mount in the weekend , does someone know what Torque you tighten the big screw from base to bottom ring ? and what torque for the ring screws ?

    Lucky,
    I cannot tell you what torque settings for the levers but i can tell you how i set them up. Firstly mounts are barrel specific so once set up it is good for that barrel only.
    I back both screws out so when the mount is fitted to the barrel it is easy (no pressure) to fully close the opposite side levers.
    With the levers in the closed position, take your screw driver and gradually tighten the opposite screws little by little one at a time.
    Along the way check that the lever is just firm when fully closed, not stiff or hard to close. Adjust check, repeat etc. then move onto the other screw and lever.

    I think he is referring to the single screw that attaches the ring to the base, and the four ring screws. I just do them up enough.

    Ok i missed that. as firm as i can get it without trying to strip the screws and with a bit of locktite.

    Yep I was referring to these ones , I like to torque my shit up that’s all , more consistent , OCD

    Ok got the info so thought would share ..

    -Mounting Screw for bottom ring to base 5.9 Nm ( 52.2 in lb )
    -Ring screws for mounting top half of ring 2 Nm ( 17.7 in lb )

    Where did you get that info from mate? I got similar settings off Blaser direct years ago, but slightly less....and to be fair, close enough. 50 and 15.

    I have a set of 34mm rings never used still in packet I would swap for 30mm if anyone is keen?
