Thread: Blood Tracking Lights

Dose any one have or has used any of the blood tracking lights are they any good or just a gimic

Interesting idea, it's on svu and csi so surely they work

Gerber and a couple of other companys make them

Personally I would rather have a good dog to locate any animals

@Chop3r I suppose the benefit of the light is that it comes pre trained and is cheap to feed? LOL

Gimmick

Yes gimmick. However you can get some kind of pills that dilute in water and can be prayed on the ground and it will reveal blood traces in flashy blue color. Used to have a pack somewhere that I brought with me from Europe. The inconvenient is you have to carry a spray bottle with you all the time. Cheaper than a dog though

I think if they were any good they would be used in the crime scene area.

Luminol is what @Friwi will be talking about.

You can order luminol which is the stuff you see on TV that males blood traces glow under UV. Other biologicals too if you're ever wondering about your hotel room.
