    Bolt?

Does anyone recognise the brand of rifle this bolt comes from?

Sorry, it's in pdf file format, I got errors when trying to upload it as the original jpg.

    Unknown Bolt.pdf

Can someone try opening and viewing the file please. If it won't open I'll head off to plan b.

Certainly a Browning. Mechanically it looks the same as a Miroku M-bolt I had, which im familiar with - which was the same as the original browning A-bolt.

Im not familiar with the X-bolt, so cant say if they changed much from A to X bolt. But that rotating part is a dead giveaway.
    My vote is Browning A-bolt.

Here is the Miroku M-bolt bolt.
M-bolt is the same as the original A-bolt, but with different a different bolt handle and shroud.
In order to insert into rifle you need to spin it so that collar that runs the length of the bolt is at the bottom. (so its spun around in my image)

    Excellent.
Thanks @gonetropo for your reply and posting the pic. I was trying to do my original post and upload on my tablet. Didn't work.
Thanks @ChrisW for your reply and pic of the Miroku. Nice rifle.

Yes that is a Browning A Bolt MK1, I'm a fan of them myself, they made the first Stainless Synthetic stock (actually painted wood lol) rifle that was really available & I imported (or asked to have) one of them in 1986-7 in 30/06, shot animals all over the world with it !

Miroku M Bolts are cool to & I would like a short 223 model !

Yip. A-Bolt Stainless Stalker most likely. Browning did away with the bolt fluting on the A-Bolt II.

Now you know what rifle it is for you just need to remember where you hid the rifle !

Its usually the other way around. Guys having the rifle and forgetting where they hid the bolt
