    I remember reading multiple times that AOs have said a standard AR15 lower but with a dedicated 22lr will be legal under the new legislation.

    Seems ridiculous too me as it flies in the face of what the new rules say about 'any part that will fit', but then again AR15 parts that fit other chassis will still be legal.
    Ultimately its a huge cluster fuck and once the dust has settled it'll go back to the old way of different AOs interpreting it different ways, so just keep trying different ones till you get the answer you want.
