I've experimented with different bolt knobs/handles on my rifles over the years and have settled on just the oversized round knob .
For me they just work and help in bolt manupulation without getting in the way like some of the longer tacticle bolt handles seem to do .
What does everyone else prefer ?

Dead straight, not swept as your leverage actually decreases a little.
Either Sterk 'pineapple/rounded' knobs or the smaller PTG ones are nice. Want to try the Area 419 one.
The rubber Tikka one works well for me.

Standard bolt knobs on my Sakos and CZ work well for me. Don't need to bling them.
At any rate I don't actually grip the bolt knob delicately between my fore finger and my thumb when I cycle the bolt.
The only bolts that I have differing knobs (tacticool) on are my Barnards and that is only to help differentiate between them.
If I was shooting in Artic conditions with gloves on a more suitable bolt knob could be useful, but I'm not.
Most of mine are stock standard.
Exceptions are my Howa Bravo in .308. Came with an oversized bolt knob.
My Howa .223 has an aftermarket screw on one from Magnum Sports, as I was scrapping my thumb knuckle on the pic rail and scope rings. :pissed off:

I have an EM-332 with the butter knife bolt handle, aka Manlicher style bolt and I really enjoy it. The EM likes a positive flick, because it has quite a tight chamber, but it just seems to work. I find the tactical bolts stick out too much for normal human ting. I believe they were initially conceived to overcome grit / crud / mud on ammo or in the action when a sniper was deployed. If you have grit to overcome when hunting or during a match, I would suggest a quick smart retreat to base camp to undertake maintenance on said rifle rather than force grit where it really shouldn't be!
Sterk swept back round bolt knob on my Tikka T3. Looking for one for my T1x as well.
I occasionally wear gloves when shooting the T3, and almost always when using the T1x at night time (cover up my pearl white hands). A slightly larger and less slippery bolt knob just feels easier to use, especially when it's raining, or my gloves are wet.
