Bolt won't fully close - used to

I took my stock off to send the barrel away with receiver, timney trigger and rail still attached. Put it back together to try it out today but the bolt would only close halfway, with or without something in the chamber. Trigger still works in that position but I don't want to test a live round with the bolt half cocked. Any ideas on what the problem is? Gun's practically new, Rem Sendero.

Front rail screw or the front action screw got swapped with one that should be shorter and it's hitting the bolt lug ?

What work was done on it when you sent it away? Is it the right bolt?

Same problem with stock removed and no base screws in. I got a muzzle brake fitted. Trigger wasn't touched.

Might be an idea to talk to him, privately, first, then ask us armchair gunsmiths second.

Cheers mate. Simple case of scope rail tighten and screw coming through too far. All good.

Yep twinked front lug and saw a mark after closing bolt. Managed to unscrew front screw of rail and we're good to go. Thanks all.
