    Most are ill fitting and serve no purpose at all - some even make it harder to clean the rifle like the MTM(?) ones they're rubbish!

    The best ones I've seen are made from Nylon or Teflon (or similar engineering plastic) machined to the right OD and with a very small ID just a fraction larger than the bore size.
