    BOYDS GUNSTOCKS

    Hi everyone!
Please some advise. Have anyone here order a stock from Boyds lately(or any time), how it works?
I order a stock and paid with my CC and after 3 days in the "processing"(unauthorised payment) status it has gone from my statement but no charge has been done, i also have called boyds but the don't answer the phone yet, only voice message.

    Cheers.

    Mac

I assume you are ringing during their working day? Time zone difference and all...

I purchased a stock off them about 6 years ago and had no issues. Good luck.

Mac, I've ordered several stocks from them.

what you describe is standard procedure. There is an initial reserve on your CC, it disappears and then they charge you when the stock is ready to ship.

Don't stress it they are good to deal with. Sometimes the stock's are made to order but that is usually indicated when you place the order. I ordered one last week with a 7-10 day delay before shipping. Just recieved the tracking number that it's shipping today.

Yes US$99 limit on rifle stocks. Don't think there is a limit for shotgun stocks.

Just ordered one 3 weeks ago. Took 10 days from time of payment for it to be dispatched, it then took 8 - 10days shipping. They had to make mine. I emailed them and they responded the following day when I was checking what the delay was about.

If your order is a normal run of the mill stock and goes without complications their processes are good and it will ship once it is made. Usually about two weeks for a stock that is "in stock" and a bit longer if they have to make it.

If there is any complications, be warned, their customer service and ability to answer the phone / queries etc, is actually horrendous. I will likely order from them again but it will never be anything that could potentially require human interaction. They dont see to ever answer phone calls EVER, and emails can take longer to get an answer than international shipping. Their ability to interact with customers is sooo poor that they may as well not bother. (Ooops- forgot- They dont bother)

But the product is usually pretty good and quality control is also good. Be patient and you shall be rewarded.... mostly.

Ok fellas, here is a latest update regards my enquire.
First of all, thank you all of you guys that reply to my thread and gave me a little of peace of mind, I actually had a reply to my enquire email from them and my order was being processed, last week I got my card charged and the shipment info, boom! Early today I got a update in the process saying it has been thru the customs clearance, so, maybe by Monday I have my stock home.

Thank you once again and Boyds Gunstocks for the great service.
