    Those russian starter pistols from the late 80's early 90's were easy to get shooting shorts . . . not that I would ever do a thing like that.

    I think he wants to weld 2 together and make a .22 double rifle for quick follow up shots on charging wounded rabbits...

    You should keep your eyes open for one of the old savage combos then - 20ga/.410 with a .22/.22hornet over top.
    you see them on trade me every once in a while.
    A relative on mine took a number of deer with a 20ga/22 hornet combo over the years when chasing pheasants.

    They made a few other cal variations too, 12ga lower barrels and 22wmr, 222, 223 upper barrels.
