I don’t see how you get a decent cheek weld with the scope that high,I removed the rear sight from my model 2 and used lowest rings possible with a swaro 3-9 when I had a scope mounted,I prefer the peep sights I have on it these days to be honest,Carry’s a lot better, nicer balance than when the scope was on it.

Ok , I have an older model 2-7 lupy , they fit perfect on a Model 1 , and Hilver steel rings if you can find some they are nice , have a look at premium optics in Australia, he sells old rings and scopes

Some interesting markings there around the date stamps
A 2.5-8vx3 would go well on it as well

this is what i have been told:
" At some point, "NOT ENGLISH MADE" was stamped on any firearm imported into England that was not made there...."
"..Just comparing the English proof marks with my book, it would appear that it was proofed in the London proof house as apposed to Birmingham. The crown over V is the inspection mark applied after the final proof. The other mark under the crown is the main or final proof mark and the NP is the Smokeless Powder Proof mark.". .
..so as part of its OE is was in UK ... love to know under what circumstances it came down under
