Thread: Browning X-Bolt 270 vs Browning X-Bolt 7mm-08

I would think both are pretty good and have similar performance but I think the edge would be with the 270. Have had and used this caliber for 45 years on and off and it works well.
A little more recoil but still not excessive, the 7mm08 probably has a better bullet selection but there are plenty of fine bullets for the 270 too.
Ones a long action the other a shorter action but in reality not that bigger difference.
The 270 has been around for a long time, a lot longer than the 708 and it hasn't been up there in the top rifle sales for no reason. We sure a spoiled for choice these days.
