    Bruno Model 2-E

Bugger! I just realised I had a Typo in the title!! Please forgive me!!

    Well I made a purchase today. I just brought a Brno 2E.

It needs a bit of love, but thats why i brought it. I thought I would have a go at taking the stock back and giving it a nice coat of oil. I also wouldn't mind finding someone to give the barrel a re-crown and re-blue the barrel and action. Or do you think I should get it Cerakoted instead?

Also can the rear sight be removed? it looks like it hinders the scope mounting somewhat! By the looks the adjustable ramp is just held in by a pin??

I am not a collector. I only got it to shoot bunnies and possums and I have a Brno Fox in .222 so I wanted a little brother for it!

I think just leave it & use as is, yes rear sight but not base is easy to remove, no pin does NOT drive out, you push whole sight down & back, the spring holds it up into a recess, put them together in a small bag & some where safe for later, in you gun safe or ammo safe maybe ?

Damned fine rifles. Bought mine from an unknowing friend quite a few years ago. $200 with scope. It’s my favoured .22 for our range shoots.
