    BSA rifle ID help

What model BSA is this? Pretty sure it's a monarch...? Yeah, nah? It's a. 270.

CFs are right at the bottom.

Can't quite make out your serial number prefix.

8P so must be monarch 1st or 2nd pattern featherwieght based on that chart. Thanks @zimmer

No stars @Micky Duck thats the majestic series eh?

Yeah it's good to go. My old man has had it since 1994 - he got excited about hunting after I shot my first deer. Bliss him, he took it for a walk once or twice and that was that. I shot it at targets maybe twice in that whole time.

Crown needs a tidy up but other than that it is fine. I wouldn't mind a better scope, getting one long enough could be an issue.

The CF2's have a rail on the side of the bolt and a different shroud. The stock looks very CF2 so it might be a mix 'n' match job.
I am not sure without checking if it is the Majestic or Monarch that has the swell along the side of the bolt. I think it is the Majestic which could make yours a Monarch in a CF2 stock ?. Hard to see the detail of any of it from the photos really

The white strip between the two timbers on the forend is pointed on the cf2 I'm pretty sure the straight line was only on monarch and majestic

It's a Monarch as per the bolt shroud, barrel profile and shape of the forend white line spacer. Got one in the safe here.

Monarch in a CF2 stock. Would need a good pick of the side of the action to see if its a featherweight, but serial # suggests it is. Monarch had integral dovetails, CF2 didn't have dovetails.

    BSA rifle ID help

Here’s mine in .243W. Action top is round no dovetails present. The white line on the forensic of mine differs from the one in the OP so maybe a cf2 stock retro fitted? Monarchs have a longer forend.

Can't quite tell in the picture. Is there a dovetail under the bases? Because the bolt and bolt shroud look like a Monarch as others have said.
