    Bubba's guns

Found some chopped Enfield's that looked ok. But have seen some shockers.

    Anyone got some horror stories?

the bottom one looks like a mk5 (jungle carbine ) with a moty carlo butt like what bsa etc put on the enfields when they "sportarised " them, interesting scope mounting arrangement.

Nice looking conversions, if there were more around like that they would still have great popularity

barrel look to long for a mk 5, though the flash arrestor looks about right

That looks actually really nice with the stainless barrel.

The Bubba'd story that comes to mind was related to me by a guy who was a shooter for the local rabbit board.

Apparently a lot of the shooters on that board back in the 80's had gotten hold of single barrel baikals and cheap u/o's, and cut them down at both ends.
This resulted in a bank robbers blunderbuss. They were kept in the board landrovers for the times when it was easier to lean out the window and zap a rabbit than shoot it from off the deck, and also because they were probably Mafiosi at heart.

One drive by artist took this to its logical extreme by riding alongside hares on his trailbike and nuking them one handed from about 5 feet away.

The thing that made me laugh the hardest when he told me about it, was that the u/o was falling to bits.
So the bike riding loony had drilled a hole between the upper and lower barrels, threaded some wire through and wound it around the forend to made sure it didn't disintegrate at the wrong moment.
The thing was, the loony had used too big a drill, so he'd drilled slightly into both barrels.
He must've gotten away with it for a while before it did self destruct, because the story petered out there, and I never did get to know what happened in the end. I would've loved to see a photo.
