    Question Budget friendly binos

Hi all, this is a first post. I was just looking for some information on a decent pair binoculars for under $400. I've been looking at a pair of bushnell 10x42 but just wondering if there is better options. Also if anyone has any reconmendations on comfy and durable bino harnesses.
    Cheers.

Leupold BX1 or BX2 if you can find a pair cheap enough.
Vortex diamond backs are also very good value.
My first binos where Bushnell and I don't rate them at all. My experience though.

I run a pair of bushnell R3 10x42 binos and find them awesome. Same quality glass as my mates $700 Leupold binos can’t tell a difference. Don’t fog up either which I found quite handy on cold mornings when you’re still steaming from the walk in

Keep your eyes peeled for a decent secondhand pair. Under $400 new is probably going to be something you end up wanting to upgrade before long.

I rate the 10x42 vortex Dimondback . I would stay away from low end bushnell and leupold binos . I run Swarovski 10x32 and my vortex go to mates years old still going strong good glass for the money . I pick up a pair of cheep bushnell binos this roar that a friend's daughter was using its was that bad it's not funny . But yet I like some of there scopes ... go figure. Also like leupold scopes but dislike there low end binos a lot again go figure...

Not sure if I got lucky, but have been very happy with some Bushnell bone collector bino's. Others I've shown have also rated them above expectations. Certainly not held me back from spotting a lot of deer.

I was glassing one morning with a friend, he had some Bushnell 10x42, I had my Leupold Mackenzies 10x42. The difference was well worth the money, especially if you can find some Mackenzies second-hand hand

My local gunstore in Te awamutu (Dave Gibson Locksmith and Gun shop) has leupold bx1s for $360, and bx2s for $420. Excellent buying at that I reckon.
