    Building a better CDS dial

After purchasing my first dial up scope - the ultra high spec Leupold 3x9 VX2 CDS I wasn't that impressed. Being able to dial was nice for my intended use of 223 at rabbits but the cap was easy to bump while caring the gun and the marking weren't east to read so you had to count hash marks to work out where you were.

Some research on the interwebs led me to believe that the better solution is a custom dial cap with clearer markings and a zero stop. The zero stop means you can check it's zeroed without looking at it and if you bump it it can only move in one direction. Clearer markings were much easier to see.
