    Burris C4 scope

Anyone here used one of these?
I have a FF II Burris on my 17hmr, which is good, but the BDC turrets and the windage reticle look like they would be the ticket for some longer shots, or windy days.

Probably just stick with a 3-9x40, as it's still nice and light, while being pretty cheap.
Or anyone have any better alternatives? Nikon Buckmaster maybe.....

    Burris C4 scope

Uplandstalker has one on his .270WSM, it seems to work well.
We were shooting 8" targets at 1000 yards yesterday with no problems.
Would be very good on an hmr!

I got a 4.5-14x42 a few months ago and like Matt said it dials to 20MOA (1000yards) without any problems, It returns to the zero and shoots where it should.

I had been using FFII before and still have one on the 223 Maximus, work pretty will tow, and have shot Tahr and Deer out to 600 yards with the Balistic Plex

The C4 has nice low dials and bang for your buck, not sure what else would compare. I brought mine from the states while there for work and cost about NZ$415

Video shows the scope and hitting a couple of hares. Shooting Hares - New Zealand - YouTube

    A C4 in 3-9x40 on a HMR would be a nice setup.

Good shooting, it's quite a nice looking scope
Glad to hear it tracks well. How's the reticle for windage? Nice and easy to use?

You can remove the windage cap and dial for wind, or use the reticle that certainly appears to be correctly marked. It nice to be able to spot with it while mates are shooting, easy to call the adjustments.

Pictures of the dials. You can replace the cap with a dial when and if you get the custom dial. Or just use the reticle, but it is in Second Focal Plane. So each tick is only 1MOA when at full magnification. You can sort what they are at other powers if you want. Let me know if you get one and I'll tell you what the values are at each magnification.

I've had one since last October and got all my data and got a custom cap made which your first one is free, am yet to use it, haven't had the time since my son was born, I have the 4.5-14 one, and I think it was around 600 at my door, import tax etc was just over 100, but also paid for the fastest shipping also, scope was in NZ in like 3 days

I still haven't ordered my dials yet, still deciding what load to get for. The 150gr Berger is the current favorite.

Good shooting ! That 270 wsm is pretty flat, very cool trace on second shot. I use around 38 moa on the 308 @ 1000yds

I'm after another one for the 223 Maximus and Ant too. I ordered mine from Cabelas online and had it ship to one of our US offices. There was some minor issues with the billing address of the credit card, but would be keen to know where you got yours from as I don't have a trip planned at the moment......... but working on it!

Is there any scope in this price range that even comes close to being this good?
I didn't know there was a finger adjustable windage turret also, I'm sold!
