Also it will only be good for one rifle, whereas a rangefinder can be used with any rifle and in other situations. Far more versitile. Why not spend the $2.5k (or whatever they are worth thses days) and buy a decent rangefinder (Leica) then either upgrade your scope to a VX3 or something, or even get a nice pair of binoculars (if you don't have some already).

So is any scope only good on one rifle!!! until it is resighted. Mine is only an opinion from someone who has used one

You completely miss my point. Don't get pissy trying to defend your purchase of one. Yes they work, but they are heavy, cumbersome and for the money I feel you are better off buying the two seperately, $2.5k would get you a pretty darn good scope / rangefinder combo.

What i am saying is that you will only have rangefinding capabilities with the rifle that has the burris eliminator scope on it. So what happens if/when you take a different rifle out hunting??? No range finder then...

I use my handheld range finder for a number of tasks, not an easy (or safe) thing to do wielding a rifle around pointing it at different things. just to get a measurement.
