    Burris Euro Diamond. How Good??

    Ok all,
I have been casually looking for a 1.5-6 or 2-8 type scope for my 358win to replace the Nikon Monarch 3, 1-4-20 #4 reticle on it currently.
Love the very black and crisp recital but I have ended up doing a lot more shooting in the 2-300 meter range than I expected so would like more magnification.
Want to keep the low power and field of view for scrub shooting goats etc <30 mtr.

I want something of similar optical quality to my Nikon Monarch 3. Was also looking at a Vixen VII 1.5-6 but they have been discontinued.

I have been offered a Burris Euro Diamond 1.5-6x40 #4 reticle with an illuminated "+" in the center for a good price.
How good is the glass and coatings in these??

I have never used one and none of my hunting mates has a Burris

Not sure about the Euro, but I have two Black Diamond 4-16 and they are better than Leupold VX3 based on side by side low light testing.

    Thanks Hot Barrels,
I was hoping to find something of similar quality to my Monarch 3 or Leopold VX3.

How did the Burris range work?
I know the Euro Diamond is a lower grade that the Black Diamond but is a coupler of steps up of the entry level stuff.

Was keen on it but the 3 posts are too much for me, if they were finer wouldn't be there now.

Thanks, same for me as tetawa, That #1 / #11 reticle just dose not work for me. They seem very popular in Europe. Lots of nice used euro scopes on Ebay with these ones.
    I'm keen for a #4.

    I've got a non illuminated 2.5 - 10 x 50 Euro Diamond on my 30 06.
It's good for clarity and the or slightly better glass than a comparable vortex viper I've got
