    Remember in this case the OP wants something “cheaper than a Tikka” and he already has a medium varipower scope. It has to tolerate dirt and rain well.

    Given that the Tikka action is long enough for a 7mmRemMag it immediately has a 1” length handicap for a bush rifle. Another 2C ��
