    Bushnell elite 4500 opinions

Hi all, currently looking at a bushnell 4500 4-16x50
What's everyones opinions on them in general?
Probably going on a 270 which is my "do everything" rifle

I have one in 2.5-10x. I have had it on a 17HMR and a 270win and can't fault it. Great scope for the money.

Have a 2.5x10 also been on several different rifles over the years and has been a good reliable scope.

I have three 3500's. One on a 270 while its scope got repaired hasnt been swapped off. The 4500 is a step up. It comes down to price, is it new or second hand and how much ?

The Bushnell elite scopes are good. I use the bog standard 3200s on my bush rifles. Great little scopes

Working on getting an unused one for around the $400 mark

Honestly a better scope than the Leupolds at the same price point from the same era, not sure how they compare to modern scopes. Make sure the coatings aren't stuffed as the Rainguard is one of the best features.

Good scopes but turrets are very small numbers and tend to be inaccurate...ie the clicks might not give you anything like 1/4 inch at 100 but I always allowed for that in the shooting app.

A 270 is a 400 mtr rifle at max so with a 250 - 275 zero there is hardly any time that a dial scope is needed - just write the holdovers down and with a rangefinder and holdover card it will be simple for the occasional long shot. Will be a great scope at that money

I got a 4200 used for $260 last year. Happy with it. It's held zero with some decent knocks but in low light there might be some better options, but probably not for $400

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.
