To me this Bushnell Dusk & Dawn 3-9x40 looks like a fake. I've seen similar on ebay for US$35 free delivery.

I know exactly nothing about Bushnell Banner scopes, but as this looks nothing like the picture on Bushnells website or any other pictures, it is likely to be a fake.
The build looks like a generic cheap Chinese made scope, and the white writing doesn't look quite right.
If you suspect its fake having seen what a real banner looks like, you should report it to Trademe.
EDIT: That reticle doesn't look like any Bushnell reticle I've ever seen.
That is a "Turbo Fake!"
Trademe admin has withdrawn the listing. Good work.
Identify your target beyond all doubt
Theres so many fake bushnell and leupold scopes out there now I deem it too risky to buy one second hand. Hence I only purchase from from a legit store, preferably in NZ.
Out of interest i purchased a fake leupold and a fake Acog scope. The Acog fell apart whilst sighting it in on a .223 and the zero ended up all over the place. As for the Leupold, i've only tested it on a .22. It seems to hold zero, however i just don't trust them at all and certainly wouldn't bother on anything above a .22. Ethically they're not trust worthy enough to take in the field and use for hunting live game.
I know this is an old thread, but back to the topic, I think there are still heaps of fake bushnells on trade me now.
I tried one of my mates AR with a bushnell AR scope, the feeling is a bit odd, and not like my old bushnell AR one, which I got from a local gun shop. Then I did some research and I can 60% sure that is a fake one, but very difficult to identify.
Just wondering, is there any official way to check? Like the NZ dealer's database and so on? I really hate those low life sell fake scope with the market price.
My mate's one purchased during the Xmas last year.
Email bushnell with the serial number...should be easy enough
Thanks mate, Ijust emailed the NZ authorised dealer from bushnell.com site. Hopefully they can give me a clear answer.
Or just don’t buy any optics from that rip off site full stop.
Even if it’s not a fake, 90% of optics being auctioned is cheap airsoft standard crap.
Welcome to Sako club.
Those dusk and dawn scopes are shit enough as it is without needing to copy them

Bushnell are easy to deal with, I got an old vx1 as a trade, checked the serial no with them it was mnf in 2002, the glass is still crisp as.
Just need to find a period correct rifle to put it on.
If you had a bushnell vx1 it's definitely a fake
If anybody wants a cheap scope just go to the source why buy them from TM the sellers get their scopes from Aliexpress and ad their markup.
