    Bushnell Trophy XLT 10x40 Binos

    Hi was looking at buying the Bushnell trophy xlt binos for $250 would these be a good set for someone who is starting to get into Hunting

    They will be ok. Don't expect to see much at change of light or dark days though. Will be fine during normal daylight hours to get you started.

    I haven't owned that exact pair so cant comment. The Bushnell's I did own were like looking through a cats bum compared to my current binos and they are only Leupold Mojaves. Is a bit more coin but worth it in the long run.

    I have a set of these and find them great. I paid US125 landed (us$110 + ~us$15 shipping) when the FX was good, so for $250 its good NZ price.
    Most retailers here sell them for $349.
    I too was after something cheap but can also do the job.
    Not used at dusk or dawn looking for animals yet, but a shit load better than nothing.

    You should be able to land the excursion HD's for about $200-220 from B&H photo video. Step or 2 up from the XLT.

    Yeh, I got mine from B&H.
    The hard part is always working out what you want without trying everything.
    On the XLT, the covers are a bit average which is a common complaint, but overall happy with the buy.

    I have a feeling i got the same set as you are looking at for free with some drench a few years ago. Definately not worth 250.
