What you have heard of the bullet not stabilising below 20" is not true. You can go as short as 15" if you like and it will be fine (assuming your suppressor will still fit without hitting the stock). Just shoot the appropriate type of bullet/load for the short barrel. The difference between 308 and 7mm08 is negligible. Just chop your 7mm08 and you will be away laughing.
