Try as I might I can't get the compass on my Garmin 62s to calibrate. Ive followed the instructions time and again. Good clear sky, so reception isn't the problem.
Any suggestions apart from biffing it into a dam?

Possibly local EM interference (assuming you're calibrating the compass) electrical equipment, anything ferrous an make it problematic. Magnets in bino chest pouch can lead to interesting results too...
Find young person...and if they tell you it was an eye Dee ten tee issue,wait till they have finished before clout around ear.

I do mine in the middle of sports playing field, as an urban dweller, seems to work fine.
sometimes i had to do an update on the gps first, to get the calibration to work
