    calibre advice

Looking at a new gun to push out to 1600yds for hunting and target shooting and would like some advice on calibre choice, I need accuracy and dependability (don't we all) and will be reloading my own ammo, would really appreciate some advice feedback and personal experience.

you pretty much need a 338 doing 3000fps imo or a 7mm going bloody fast which will mean not much barrel life

@tui_man has a good chambering in the gun porn thread

7mm-08 does all that and then some. Or you could use a 223 and a VX1 with CDS. Sorted

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds
