Anyway to get around shipping from here? They have very sharp deals on ex demo stock but won't ship scopes internationally.

I have not done it myself but I know people who have used nz posts us address service for scopes

I have had a few things sent to NZ Youshop in the past, and if it has free US shipping, may not cost anymore than if it were shipped direct from the store.
Rules and restrictions change all the time over there so could be best to ask Youshop if what you want sent is OK, as it is a massive pain if Youshop won't send it here.

Its a zeiss. Has a statement saying will not ship any scopes and wouldn't allow me to check out

Interesting, I emailed to enquire if shipping to NZ was the same price as to Europe and Aussie and said I was looking at getting a zeiss. Didn't say anything about not being able to ship.
Have you checked for a local price? Mightn't be that much more at the moment.

they will ship range finders and binoculars etc but not scopes. Yeah am following up on some local prices now

Try euro optics. They do deals on Zeiss and ship to nz.

I was there in June and picked up another in person and asked about continued shipping and try said to just email them and will sort.
Scope guy is great. Dont remember his name but pretty sure he was one of the original members of Anthrax.. Seriously
