Montana stocks are shit house except that they arent plastic. They are better than the mountain ascents and maybe the hunter stocks if the camo is a coating but the tan hunter stocks are by far the best for dealing with wear as the material is tan. Minus thrashed and it's still all tan unlike my Montana was after 4 trips strapped to my pack.
Edit: I know the mountain ascent dip is shit but haven't actually used the hunter dipped stock so it may be better but I doubt it.
Yup my Kimber hunter stock as been dragged through some terribly thick bush. Plenty of scratches but still looks just fine. It's a functional rifle and the stock takes the beating.
