Can anyone identify what action this has been built on?

I noticed this oddball rifle on trademe last night and this rifle has had a barrel and stocked changed on it, but its clear the owner has no idea what the action has been used.
Have a look at the listing and see what you think https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketpl...ing/4928671804
I'm thinking european, maybe BRNO, but the mag release button on the side has me stumped.
Maybe someone on here knows the person selling it?

Fark - custom stock alright! Only 3cm² short of a pistol conversion!

    Yes very custom

Ok I was clearly well off the mark (not unusual there) so it appears to be a savage 110, never would have got there by myself.
    Thank you.

That style of barrel nut is a bit of a fingerprint for Savage (or Stevens if you don't want to blame Savage).

There were a couple of other makers that used a barrel locking nut to lock the barrel at the correct headspace measurement, but the only one I know of using that style nut is the Savage line. Probably a very good shooter of all things are right. The later models of this rifle used a more traditional looking affair that used either a splined spanner or you could sometimes get away with a c-spanner to undo them.
