    Can Questions

    Hey all,

Looking at a Supressor for the 6.5x55. Have a few questions about over barrels models and the barrel bush.
What are the tolerences when machining the bush down? Obviously it needs to be concentric with the barrel/bore.
Are they made to be a tight 'seal' fit or merely to keep the supressor on straight to stop it coming lose and imploding.

Is it a job my mate the mechanic/engineer can do(I assume you would have to turn it out on the lathe rather than just drill it out)

Seems like a bit of a palava and a bunch of extra cost to send the whole rifle away to fit the suppressor. (its allready threaded)

Is there much to gain with an OB type or should I just go a few (3ish) cm longer, pick up a dpt muzzle can and be done with it?

    Cheers in advance

Use calipers and measure width of barrel where the bush will go. Drill to that size, you're ready to go.
Ask an engineer mate if you can use his drill bits and press so you have the choice of 16.3, 16.4mm etc rather than using the 16.5mm from mitre10 because it's "close enough".

If you want an overbarrel without needing to do a bushing then look at a hushpro.

Get your bush turned in a lathe. Ask Darren to do it if you get one of his cans and you have no access to one. I'm sure he would not have any problems doing it for you. A drill is pretty agricultural IMO.
