Ok so tried S60 beside a redfield 20-60 x80 looking at a building at 1.5 k away. You can see the picket fence gaps and count then with the scope easy on the camera 65x optical it looked like a solid fence. If I went to the full digital 130x zoom it was close to the spotter but not quite there. So are the cameras using a different scale for measuring magnification? Two other people looked and we all agreed there was no comparison. Only avantage with the camera was the stablization and a bigger feild of view because of the lower magnification
