Correct the joints are torqued to specific tightness's to have a firm rotation/pan/tilt to give a stable platform to shoot off and to make sure the rifle does flop over etc. Often people thing they are too tight as the parts cannot easily be moved by hand but ones on the rifle it works well. They are not adjustable i.e. able to be locked but they are firm and should be sufficient. Once you get on target your rifle should stay in that position without needing to be held in place. Ie there are no springs in these joints as my old harris tilt bipod had which you had to fight at greater angles. Cheers, Matt
    Awesome thanks

Hi Cleetuserectus. Yeah absolutely, the aggressive nature of the feet on our bipod allow for greater loading. Particularly on steeper terrain where a point foot would not dig in well. Cheers, Matt

Yes. I had the same experience when my early model alloy one shit itself. Have the carbon model now and like it a lot

Has anyone had any hands-on use with the Bushbuck carbon bipod? Or is it a rebadged AliExpress job?

I have one, for sure it's rebranded aliexpress but that doesn't mean it's trash, I have found it to be very good but it's not superlight like my javelin.
Mine is relagated to the .22 but I have used in very successfully on 7mm08 taking 2 fallow at 300+ yards

@dannyb I wasn't meaning it was rubbish. But at the back of my mind I was wondering if the same thing is available on AliExpress too Thanks for the input!

What are the carbon fiber ones like if they bash up against hard objects? Do they fold at that spot?

I didn't think you meant it was, I'm very happy with it, quality seems pretty good, functions well certainly don't think I'm likely to wear it out in a hurry, it's definitely not flimsy.
