Thread: Carbon Fiber Stocks

How heavy are these rifles though? Could have a cf stock and still not be all that light. Have shot my cf stocked 270wsm (3.1kg scoped) without the brake, once, that was enough to convince me the brake was a good investment

From what i understand a cf stock is only going to be around 300grams lighter than the standard plastic tikka stock? (once bedded and limbsaver attached) so wasnt sure if recoil would be that much more noticable as i find it not too bad at the moment. I was looking at the southfort labs NZ Hunter model, knowing that eventually when the barrel wears out i will replace it with a fluted barrel and possibly have it breaked then. It shoots fine as it is but it annoys me how little the barrel clearance is as crap seems to always get wedged in under it, and its spends most of its time being carried an not used being for hunting only so a little less weight would be a bonus.
